ANNAPOLIS, MD -- Network management provider Netcordia has announced a partnership with Splunk, an IT search engine, to enable enterprises to automatically search and analyze their internal network events.

Under the agreement, Splunk will license its IT search software to Netcordia who will use the software as a front-end processor to collect events.  Netcordia's NetMRI will then process the events to determine patterns that indicate problems for the network.

Splunk claims more than 300 enterprises with more than 100,000 individuals use its software.  Netcordia says that it has been given numerous awards for its products and has been included in the Red Herring 100.  Both companies are privately-held.
